The Feast of the Ascension is one of the principal feasts of the church, but one that gets little attention because it never falls on a Sunday. Join us on Thursday May 30th (6 – 7 p.m.) in the side yard for a brief outdoor service of communion followed by a discussion on why the Ascension matters.
From Bette & David Chwalisz:
We honor our daughter Sarah’s memory by “adopting” McConnell Road from Route 47 to the east entrance to Bull Valley Greens at Harrow Gate Dr. You may have seen the signs with Sarah’s name posted along McConnell Road . On Saturday April 27 we will be handing out vests & other equipment for a satisfying morning of picking up trash along McConnell Road for a single mile. A single mile of road will be easy to clean up with your help. We will have breakfast items as a start up along with laughter.(Sarah loved to laugh.) Meet at our home -- 2006 Harrow Gate Dr. in Woodstock -- at 8:00 a.m., have a cup of coffee, a glass of juice, other breakfast treats & off we go to clean up our neighborhood & McConnell Road.
